One thing I DREAD about networking groups is some people (and unfortunately this only seems to happen when the groups are run by women) think that "Tupperware Party" games help "break the ice".
I'm sure you know the games I mean: guess the famous person written on the sticker the host put on your back/forehead; the fill-in-the-names about the people you meet (find someone who has a tatoo, find someone whose mother's name is Mary etc).
I find all these games annoying and detract from the my purpose of going to a networking meeting; connecting with people and developing reciprocal relationships.

Thanks, Jacki. I think those games can be fun in the proper environment, NOT at a networking event!
